Kamala Visits Atlanta
The Biden administration continues its big push in Georgia for election season, with Vice President Kamala Harris' visit Friday.
She arrived at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport around noon. Before leaving the airport, Harris talked to reporters about gun violence following the Supreme Court's ruling earlier in the morning to strike down a Trump-era ban on bump stocks. Bump stocks are a gun accessory that allows semi-automatic weapons to fire rapidly like machine guns.
"What the court did today is really rolling back what otherwise is important progress to be made to prevent gun violence in America," Harris said.
The high court found 6-3 the Trump administration did not follow federal law when it reversed course and banned bump stocks after a gunman in Las Vegas attacked a country music festival with assault rifles in 2017.
